Examination Timetable
Zoom Music Exam Details – Please read all information carefully!
The next exam session is the autumn 2026 session on Thurs 15th October 2026. The timetable is published below using initials and grade only to protect data. Please see full FAQ's below the timetable.
Your exam time will be approximately at the time published. It will be held via Zoom and you should enter the Zoom waiting room no later than 5 minutes prior to your time to be let in to the exam by the examiner when it is your turn. Please use the student name when entering the waiting room so the examiner knows who is waiting. Please do not request a change of time at this stage as the time is now set and submitted to the exam board.
Please make allowances for some delays due to the number of exams, try not to put another activity immediately after the exam, to allow for this, as the examiner can run behind schedule at times.
Common questions –
How do I take the online exam?
Using Zoom. Please download the app well in advance of the exam day. You will be given a code to enter the online waiting room nearer to the exam. You then wait until the examiner is ready to take your exam.
At the request of the exam board, please also make sure to press the sound option for musicians. The default for this is off but should be turned to on in the option menu. A reminder and screenshot for this will be sent a few days before your exam along with the zoom link.
Will you be at the exam?
No. The examiner will be hosting the exams on the day.
How should the camera be set up?
Sideways, so the examiner can see all keys and the face of the student to talk to the examiner.
When will results be provided?
Usually within 2 weeks of the exam, sometimes much sooner. Results will be provided by WhatsApp as soon as possible after they are provided to me by the exam board during working hours.
When will the certificate arrive?
Certificates usually arrive shortly after results. Important note for those having tuition in school - please make sure to have a sturdy music folder for lessons so that the certificate can be safely transported home from school. I cannot be held responsible for damage to the certificate once it has been handed over to the student.
