Piano Lessons
The piano is a beautiful, more classical instrument that is a dream of many to be able to play. It is also a challenge that requires patience both from teacher and student. I have now been a piano teacher in the Blackpool area for nearly 20 years. I offer piano lessons across Blackpool, Poulton, Lytham, St Annes, Kirkham, Wesham, Newton, Clifton, Wrea Green and Staining areas of the Fylde.
There are a variety of different types of piano. I will be able to guide and support you as to the most appropriate piano to suit your budget and also the available space in your home. You will also need to carefully consider the location of the piano so as not to damage your instrument. We can assess this together when we get started.
The piano involves two moving hands and pedal work. It is crucial to work with both hands from the start and to work on the language of reading music (music theory) from your very first lesson. Both hands have a slightly different language to read (one called treble clef and the other bass clef). This is seen one of the bigger challenges when learning to play the piano.
My patient, calm yet fun approach to your piano lessons will help you succeed while enjoying your time on the piano. We will work towards playing songs you want to play after laying the groundwork.
This could range from pop (Adele, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay) to more Classical and Jazz styles. In terms of learning the language of reading music, we will play games, both traditional and electronic.
Most students are able to start reading music within the first few weeks with the game based approach I take to lessons. You will gain an understanding piano teacher who will listen to your individual targets while making sure to guide you in the right direction for your positive development. Your piano lessons can be towards exam or simply just for pleasure.
I can hold a piano lesson in your own home in Blackpool, Poulton, Staining, Great Eccleston, Elswick, Kirkham, Wesham, Newton, Clifton, Wrea Green, Lytham, St Annes and the surrounding areas. Please call 07989850810 for availability or to be placed on a waiting list for a suitable time.
